TDA2822D is a 8-Pin audio amplifier IC and is designed for driving little speaker in portable devices like cassette players and radios. With a few extra components you can built a simple power amp with lots of gain and a wide range of supply voltage (1.8-15V). The sound quality is compareable maybe even a bit better than the famous Ruby Amp Circuit based around the LM386. Over the time we built many adaptions of this circuit, made some workshops and used it for lots of experiments with speakers, coils and resonators. It works by small batteries or even solar energy and combined with a simple jfet preamp circuits it makes a great portable guitar amp.
