CD40106 NOISE CAP
CD40106 NOISE CAP

Six oscillators interacting with each other and the surrounding light to create super weird noises? Sounds perfect to be build on your favorite hat! Glitch your mind away with the two control knobs or just shake your head and let the inbuilt light dependent resistors do the job for you. Be smart and use your hat. Even go offgrid using solar energy or a small rechargeable battery to power your hat.

If you are interested in buying a unique noise hat built by us please contact mail@liminalsound.de! We will create them only on demand and based on your ideas. If you are just starting with electronics, this is also a good project. Below you will find all the informations you need to build a simple version of it by yourself.

The CD40106 has six little circuits inside it, called Schmitt triggers. Each one can become its own oscillator just by adding a resistor and a capacitor. So with one 40106 chip, you can make six separate oscillators. You now can mix those oscillators together, shape their waveforms or let them interact with each other. You can find tons of circuits based around the CD40106, here only a few ideas.
